The study aimed to evaluate the knowledge of mothers and healthcare providers about lactating mother’s diet. Out of 1159 responses (407 from healthcare proffesionals and 752 from lactating mother), with 21 excluded for not meeting inclusion criteri, 1074 were from mother who breastfeed or breastfed, and 29.14% of them reported eliminating certain foods during lactation. No statistically significant differences were found between the responses of mothers and medical staff. The respondents demonstrated an adequate understanding of nutrition during lactation, but the findngs underscore the need for comprehensive nutritional education for both groups.
